Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)

As a consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act. This right cannot be limited by the return conditions in section 8.

• The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day you (or a third party designated by you, other than the carrier) receive the goods. If you ordered several items in one order that are delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last item.
• To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement before the period expires — for example by email to contact@laucycling.com. You may use the standard withdrawal form, but it is not required.
• After notifying us, you must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you informed us of your withdrawal.
• You bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
• You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning — in other words, you may inspect and try on the item as you would in a physical shop.

Refund on withdrawal: We will refund the amount you paid, including standard delivery costs (but not any extra cost arising from your choice of a more expensive delivery method), without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied proof that you have returned them, whichever occurs first.

Extended Returns (30 Days)

In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, and without limiting it, LAU voluntarily offers an extended return window: you may return your order within 30 days of receiving it, provided the conditions below are met.

How to Return:

1. Get in touch at contact@laucycling.com with your order number.
2. We will send you the return instructions.
3. Pack your item securely and send it back to us.

Please keep your proof of postage until your return has been processed.

Return Conditions:

To be eligible for a refund under the extended return window, the item must:

• be returned within 30 days of delivery;
• be unused and unwashed;
• have all original tags attached;
• be returned in its original packaging.

Returns that do not meet these conditions may not be accepted.

Return Shipping: Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty or an incorrect product was delivered.

Exchanges: We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different size, please return your item for a refund and place a new order.

Refunds: Once your return has been received and inspected, we will process your refund to the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider.

Faulty or Incorrect Items and Right to Complain

As a consumer, you have a 2-year statutory right to complain under the Danish Sale of Goods Act, covering defects that were present, or where the cause of the defect was present, at the time of delivery. If a defect is covered, you may be entitled to have the item repaired, replaced, receive a price reduction, or cancel the purchase, depending on the circumstances. If you receive a faulty or incorrect item, please contact us as soon as possible at contact@laucycling.com with your order number and photos of the issue. Where a complaint is justified, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs.

Warranty

In addition to your statutory consumer rights, LAU provides a commercial warranty against manufacturing defects for 2 years from the date of purchase. This includes issues such as faulty stitching, defective zippers, and manufacturing defects in materials. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by accidents, improper care, misuse, or changes in the appearance of the garment caused by normal use — for example fabric wear from regular riding, damage caused by crashes or falls, damage caused by incorrect washing or care, and general fading or changes in appearance over time. To make a warranty claim, contact us at contact@laucycling.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos showing the defect. We will review your claim and get back to you as soon as possible. This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under Danish and EU consumer protection law.

Crash Replacement

If your LAU apparel is damaged in a cycling crash, we offer a 30% discount on a replacement product within 12 months of the original purchase date. This is a goodwill program and is separate from your statutory rights and warranty. To apply, contact us with your order number, photos of the damaged product, and a brief description of the incident. The program applies to products purchased directly from LAU where the damage was caused by a cycling crash and the claim is made within 12 months of purchase. The replacement will be the same product and size where available. If unavailable, we may offer a comparable alternative. The program does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by incorrect care or washing, cosmetic changes from regular use, or loss or theft. Each request is reviewed individually, and LAU reserves the right to approve or decline claims.
